The launch ceremony of the 15th anniversary of establishing friendship cities between Zibo and Bratsk was successfully held

　　On June 29th, to further deepen the friendship ties between Zibo and Bratsk and promote the all-round exchange and cooperation of various areas between the two sides, the two cities held the launch ceremony of the 15th anniversary of establishing friendship cities. Sun Yebao, Deputy Director of the Foreign Affairs Office of Shandong Provincial People’s Government, Li Junjie, Vice Mayor of Zibo city and Yakovlev, Vice Mayor of Bratsk attended the ceremony and made speeches; representatives from the departments of foreign affairs, propaganda, education, commerce, culture and tourism of the two cities also participated in the activity.

　　During the ceremony, leaders of both sides looked back the exchange journey and cooperation practice of our two cities in the past, made a detailed illustration of the economic and development of the two cities and proposed sincere hopes on deepening the friendship ties of the long-term relations and increasing reciprocity and cooperation in various fields between the two sides. Besides, departments from the two cities had a discussion on the future plan of theme activities, and youngsters from the two cities also had show performances of singing Chinese and Russian songs respectively.

　　In the future, Zibo and Bratsk will continue to conduct theme exchange activities in culture and tourism, centered on the 15th anniversary of establishing friendship cities, and further explore pragmatic cooperation in all areas to promote the economic and social development.

　　Bratsk is in the northwest ofIrkutsk Oblast,eastern Siberia of Russia. It covers an area of 4.28 million square kilometers with a population of 236, 000. It is also a modern industrial center in eastern Siberia, and an important communication center connecting Europe and Asia continents, which has a developed infrastructure and great potential in resources and economic development. Zibo officially established friendship ties with Bratsk in 2007.
