Recently, an exchange team from Korea University of Technology and Education visited the Ban Mountain Traditional Chinese Medicine Health Tourism Demonstration Base, experiencing the culture of traditional Chinese medicine and specialized wellness techniques up close.

The group successively visited the Bian Que Cultural Museum and the Traditional Chinese Medicine Culture Museum. They traced the medical history of Bian Que, the founding father of Chinese medicine, and learned about the four diagnostic methods of observation, listening, inquiry, and palpation in TCM. They gained a comprehensive understanding of stories about renowned TCM practitioners throughout history, medicinal dietary therapy, and ancient techniques for preparing medicinal pastes. After the visit, everyone personally experienced making herbal sachets, identified various medicinal herbs, and immersed themselves in the culture of TCM through hands-on practice.

During the exchange, the base also organized specialized lectures on traditional Chinese medicine, where experts delivered on-site explanations of appropriate TCM techniques. The event featured two-way discussions on meridian practice and distinctive techniques, serving as a bridge for mutual learning between Chinese and Korean traditional medicine, allowing the millennia-old wisdom of TCM to rejuvenate through cross-border dialogue.

After the exchange session, everyone participated in two signature traditional Chinese medicine wellness programs: mid-frequency therapy and herbal foot bath, personally experiencing the unique efficacy of TCM in regulating sub-health conditions and promoting physical and mental relaxation.

This academic exchange, centered on traditional Chinese medicine, established a communication platform for mutual learning and inspiration between Chinese and Korean traditional medicine. The visiting faculty and students gained an in-depth appreciation of Bannan Mountain's comprehensive TCM cultural tourism and wellness offerings, deepening their understanding of China's Qihuang culture. Moving forward, the base will continue to host various international academic exchanges, promoting the global dissemination of TCM culture.
