The 4th China Low Carbon Road Summit Forum held in Zouping, Shandong

The 4th China Low Carbon Road Summit Forum and 2021 Zouping Carbon Neutrality Forum was held from July 16 to 17 in Zouping, a county-level city under the administration of Binzhou, Shandong province. Experts and enterprises from across the country gathered to discuss the road to low-carbon development, focusing on “peaking carbon dioxide emissions, carbon neutrality, and the transformation and upgrading of regional economy”.

At the Forum, research reports on low-carbon economic development were released. The project of Shandong Carbon Neutrality Digital Economy Industrial Park was launched, aiming at increasing industrial investment by more than 3 billion yuan and cultivating a batch of world-leading green and low-carbon technology enterprises.

The Forum was held through both online and off-line channels. Experts discussed the direction and trend of China's economic transformation with the dual goals of peaking carbon dioxide emissions and realizing carbon neutrality, and agreed that the “dual-carbon” target is the only way for China's economic development, and that achieving low-carbon development is the world’s consensus for future development. The new growth path characterized by low-carbon development has become an important direction for world economic development, and advanced technologies, industrial systems and governance capabilities related to low-carbon development will become one of the core competitiveness of countries’ economic development.
