  The Shandong-Scotland Friendly Cooperation Dialogue was held on Nov. 22, 2021, which was jointly organized by the Office of Foreign Affairs Commission of CPC Shandong Provincial Committee, Shandong Provincial Federation of Industries and Commerce, and Scotland General Chamber of Commerce.

  Cai Xianjin, director of the Office of Foreign Affairs Commission of CPC Shandong Provincial Committee, introduced the latest economic and social development of Shandong province and said that the provincial office of foreign affairs commission and the provincial people’s association for friendship with foreign countries will continue to provide services and support for the cooperation between chambers of commerce, enterprises and institutions of both sides. He expressed the hope that the Scotland General Chamber of Commerce and the Shandong Provincial Chamber of Commerce could fully mobilize the initiative of enterprises and institutions of the two sides, encourage them to give full play to their comparative advantages, strengthen communication and synergy, seize the opportunities for cooperation and achieve mutual benefits and win-win results.

  Scotland covers an area of 78,000 square kilometers and has a population of nearly 6 million. It has outstanding advantages in education, scientific research, modern finance, clean energy and marine science and technology. It is an important partner of Shandong province in developing cooperation with Britain and Europe.
