The Zhonggong bazaar in the southern mountainous area of Jinan is brimming with the Chinese New Year spirit.

Decorations, candies, melon seeds, rice cakes, and colorful Spring Festival paintings fill the air with bustling vendors, laughter, and the crackling of popcorn, creating a lively festive atmosphere.

The bazaar has a history of more than 2,000 years, originating in the Han Dynasty (202 BC-AD 220) and flourishing in the Tang Dynasty (618-907).
