Art, crafts center in Jinan prepares Spring Festival cultural feast for public

　　An opening ceremony for the 2024 Year of the Dragon Spring Festival event was held in the Shandong Arts and Crafts Exhibition Center in Jinan on Feb 2.

　　The event is intended to bridge the past and the present and aims to help people experience and understand traditional folk culture through vivid traditional performances and Chinese New Year goods.

　　From Feb 10 to 17, various cultural activities will be held in the center. The event will feature a selection of 16 cities' characteristic Yellow River grand markets for Chinese New Year goods, recreating the familiar scenes of bustling markets from people's childhoods.

　　Visitors will have the chance to enjoy interactive games such as pot throwing, riddle guessing, and red string blessings to welcome the new year.

　　Traditional performances such as lion and dragon dances, staples of any Chinese New Year celebration, will add a vibrant and authentic touch to the folk customs.

　　Throughout the event, the Shandong Arts and Crafts Exhibition Center will showcase distinctive folk culture traditions from across the country and the province, creating a Spring Festival cultural market that integrates culture, entertainment, and shopping.
