Ms. Kimiya Sayaka Visits Yangxin for Folk Culture

　　On April 2, 2024, the Publicity Department of Yangxin County Party Committee organized a special China-Japan cultural exchange. Ms. Kimiya Sayaka , from Wakayama China-Japan Friendship Association, was invited to visit Yangxin-based Shuiluopo and experience local unique folk culture.

　　At the very beginning, Li Xinrui, director of the Publicity Department of Yangxin County Party Committee, accompanied Ms. Kimiya to visit Yangxin Folk Cultural and Creative Industry Park. The street is full of classical furniture, and each of them is the result of the efforts and wisdom of the craftsmen. The flowers, birds, animals, landscapes andfigures are vivid and lifelike because of exquisite sculpture skills, telling century-old stories. Ms. Kimiya showed keen interests, enjoying them and taking photos repeatedly.

　　Afterwards, they came to “Handmade in Shandong – Binzhou Handicrafts Experience Center”. The center is displayed with various handicrafts, colorful wood-block paintings. Each piece contains in-depth cultural deposits and artistic values. Besides, Ms. Kimiya frequently praised the unique taste and production of the delicious pear vinegar.

　　At the experience center, Ms. Kimiya understood the production processes and stories of different traditional handicrafts by communicating with the employees here. According to her, the visit to Yangxin made her have a better understanding of Chinese folk culture as well as more love and respect for cultural differences and features.

　　The activity not only built a bridge for the cultural exchanges between Chinese and Japanese peoples, but also promoted the inheritance and development of Yangxin’s folk culture. We do believe that, Yangxin’s folk culture will go global someday, being an important window to display the charm of Chinese culture.
