The Dragon Boat Festival Cultural Exchange Activity in Dingtao District were held in Orel, Russia

　　On June 10th, the Dragon Boat Festival, a traditional Chinese holiday, was celebrated by Dingtao District of Heze City, with the help of overseas cultural exchange ambassador Zheng Pengfei at Orel State University in Russia. Zheng Pengfei gave a lecture on folk customs and distributed rice dumplings to the teachers and students of Orel State University, sharing the Dragon Boat Festival spirit. The Dean of the Philosophy Faculty of Orel State University, Mrs. Vladyimirskaya, attended the event.

　　The rice dumplings from Dingtao District's Daoxiangcun Village, such as "Large Yellow Rice and Red Bean," "Golden Silk Dates," and "Fine Sand Dates," aroused the teachers and students' great interest. Zheng introduced to Mrs. Vladyimirskaya and the teachers and students, "In China, every year during the Dragon Boat Festival, people eat rice dumplings, race dragon boats, and hang fragrant pouches to honor their ancestors and pray for peace and prosperity."

　　Professor Gertichikova, who participated in the event, said, "I am very happy to receive a gift from our sister city Heze during the Dragon Boat Festival. This festival, which not only allows us to eat rice dumplings and drink realgar wine, but also race dragon boats and play polo, is very interesting. I hope that both cities can hold more cultural exchange activities to enhance friendly interactions."
