Experience Jinan’s charm aboard train

　　The "Welcome to Jinan" high-speed rail tourism campaign was held aboard the G280 train (on the Zhengzhou East to Jinan route) on Aug 15.

　　The train's carriages were transformed into a moving stage, featuring a variety of performances showcasing Jinan's unique arts, intangible cultural heritage, creative presentations, and interactive poetry sessions.

　　The dining carriage was specially decorated as a themed exhibition area, offering a comprehensive display of Jinan's attractions, from its stunning scenery and delicious cuisine to its cultural heritage and creative industries.

　　Jinan's cultural tourism ambassadors guided passengers through the city's rich history and tourist offerings. For example, ambassadors Wang Zi and Ren Xiao dressed as the historical figures Li Qingzhao (1084-1155) and Xin Qiji (1140-1207), who were both poets in the Song Dynasty (960-1279), leading passengers as they explored Jinan's culture, history, tourist sites, and trendy landmarks.

　　Li Juan, a practitioner of Jinan Shadow Puppetry, a national intangible cultural heritage item, performed a shadow play on the train.

　　Passengers were also offered special gifts such as fresh rose cakes and rose tea from Jinan's Pingyin county, known as China's "Rose Town," and enjoyed the excitement of a poetry recitation event while savoring local delicacies.

　　"I didn't expect to experience Jinan's warmth and unique culture even before arriving," said a passenger surnamed Li from Zhengzhou.

　　"Once we get to Jinan, I'll take a boat ride on Daming Lake, and my child is eager to see Chaoran Pavilion light up and draw water from Black Tiger Spring," Li added.

　　The "Welcome to Jinan" tourism marketing brand aims to attract more visitors to the city, according to the municipal bureau of culture and tourism. The bureau will plan future collaborations with railway authorities to introduce more integrated travel experiences, inviting travelers to explore Jinan and embrace its vibrant spirit.
