Online activity between China and Portugal to talk about pear culture in Yangxin County

　　On September 4, 2024, a meaningful Sino-Portuguese exchange activity was staged in the Pear Culture and Ecological Museum of Yangxin County. The event was organized by the Publicity Department of Yangxin County Committee, aiming to make more foreigners know and love Yangxin.

　　Vicky, Diana Costa and Clara from the University of Minho in Portugal were invited to participate in the event online.

　　At the beginning of the activity, a promotional video played by the staff instantly attracted the attention of Portuguese students, who had a preliminary understanding of the Pear Culture and Ecological Museum.

　　Then, the staff led the tour through the camera. When walking to the wall of time, the development process of pear industry is like a magnificent historical picture scroll unfolding slowly in front of their eyes. From a difficult start to today’s vigorous development, each stage embodies the diligence and wisdom of Yangxin people.

　　With the guide map of the Pear Garden Scenic Area, the students in Portugal seemed to see the beautiful scene of the pear garden when it was in full bloom. The snowy pear flowers and picturesque scenery made them full of longing for the beautiful land.

　　In the product area, a whole pear is placed in a small wine bottle. The students marveled at the wonderful sight and inquired curiously how the pears were put there. The staff patiently and carefully answered the question, so that they had a deeper understanding of the unique process of Yangxin pear.

　　At the end of the activity, Vicky said with expectations that she hoped to come to Yangxin when the pear flowers were in full bloom and feel the sea of flowers in person.

　　The activity was successfully concluded, which not only promoted Sino-Portuguese cultural exchanges, but also planted the seed of friendship between the two countries. It is believed that in the future, this seed will take root and grow, so that the flower of Sino-Portuguese friendship will bloom more splendidly.
