Inherit Ancient Charm and Integrate Culture--An International Tour of Shuiyun Ancient Street Museum in Yangxin County

On September 8, 2024, Yangxin County ushered in an extraordinary cultural exchange activity.Organized by the Publicity Department of Yangxin County Party Committee, Ms Kim Yoo-jin from South Korea and Ms Vicky from Portugal were invited to visit the Shuiyun Ancient Street Museum at Shuiluopo Town, Yangxin County.
This museum is like a bright cultural pearl, located in Yangxin County, a land full of historical heritage.
In accordance withthe staff’s enthusiastic introduction, the Shuiyun Ancient Street Museum covers an area of about 6,700m², and the vast space carries rich historical memories.The building area is about 2,800m², with as many as 17 exhibition halls of three types: workshop style, business style, and experience style.
Each exhibition hall is unique, with distinctive theme and rich connotation. Here, folk utensils are no longer just objects, but an important carrier for inheriting excellent traditional Chinese culture. They use silent language to narrate the words and deeds of being a person and the principles of communication, conveying traditional virtues such as filial piety, love for the elderly, honesty and friendliness to every visitor.
Walking into the museum is like traveling through a tunnel of time and space.Those ancient instruments exude the breath of time, making people perceive the wisdom and hard work of their ancestors. Each exhibition hall is skillfully arranged, allowing visitors to more intuitively understand the charm of traditional culture through rich and diverse display forms, such as physical displays, graphic explanations and scene restoration.
Both Ms. Kim Yoo-jin from South Korea and Ms. Vicky from Portugal were attracted by this profound cultural heritage.They stopped in the exhibition hall to watch, listened carefully to the staff’s explanations, and expressed heartfelt admiration from time to time.
This activity aims to inspire and educate the public with culture and literature, fully leveraging the important role of traditional culture, and allowing more people to understand its profound and extensive connotations, thus inheriting and promoting these valuable spiritual treasures in modern society.
After the visit, Ms. Kim Yoo-jin from South Korea couldn’t help but sigh: “The culture here is really amazing.
