　　At the meeting, Laoling Municipal People's Government signed a cooperation agreement with Bucharest University of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry to jointly build a China-Romaniajujube science and technology demonstration base, and Laoling Forestry Bureau and Hebei Agricultural University signed a cooperation agreement on the promotion of forestry scientific and technological achievements of the central government.

　　The cultivation of Laoling golden jujube began in Shang and Zhou Dynasties, flourished in Wei and Jin Dynasties, and flourished in Ming and Qing Dynasties, with a history of more than 3,000 years. Laoling is the "Hometown of Golden Jujube in China" named by the state, and it is the only standardized demonstration area of Golden Jujube designated by the state. Laoling jujube forest complex system is listed as an important agricultural cultural heritage in China. "Laoling Golden Jujube" has been listed in the national origin area protection, and the 10,000-mu jujube forest tourist area has been rated as a national AAAA scenic spot and a provincial forest park.

　　At present, the contiguous planting area of red dates in Laoling City is 296,000 mu, the core area is 106,000 mu, and there are more than 7,000 jujube trees over 500 years old and 596 jujube varieties. In 2018, the annual output of red dates in Shandong was 600,000 tons, of which Laoling's annual output was 199,000 tons, accounting for 33% of the province's total annual output of red dates, with an output value of about 3.32 billion yuan. There are 19 jujube products processing enterprises in Laoling, such as Huiyuan, Baizao Gangmu and Derun Health Food. The main products are primary processed products such as fruit juice, sandwich jujube, jujube ring and jujube slices, and deep processed products such as jujube tea, golden jujube wine and red jujube enzyme. At present, there are 2 jujube trading markets, 52 jujube distribution enterprises, 258 stores, 6 large jujube distribution e-commerce enterprises, and more than 2,000 online stores of various jujube products and Wechat business. The annual sales of red dates and red date products are 150 million Jin, with an annual sales volume of 800 million yuan, of which the annual transaction volume of jujube trading market is 40 million Jin, with an annual transaction volume of 260 million yuan.
