Chengwu County: Opening a New Chapter of Cultural Exchange with the Help of the 2nd Russian-Chinese Forum Titled “Sprouts”

In November 2024, the 2nd Russian-Chinese Forum titled “Sprouts” was held at the International Exhibition Centre in the city of Kazan, Republic of Tatarstan, Russian Federation. The Forum included more than 70 sessions in the areas of culture and art, industry, agriculture, inter-State dialogue, information technology and other areas, with a total of more than 10,000 participants representing Russia and China in the various thematic forums.
Chengwu's Ambassador for Overseas Cultural Dissemination and Chengwu-native painter Wang Tao was invited to participate in the International Business Art Forum, where he delivered a keynote speech on "Traditional Chinese Painting". His speech not only earned rounds of applause from the experts present but also won him the honor of the forum's first prize, highlighting the influence of traditional Chinese culture.
In his keynote speech, Wang Tao expressed that as a treasure of the Chinese nation, traditional Chinese culture not only carries profound historical connotations but also serves as a bridge connecting the emotions of people in China, Russia, and even around the world. Through vivid examples and profound insights from his personal artistic creations, he skillfully analyzed the artistic characteristics, philosophical ideas, and aesthetic values of traditional Chinese painting, demonstrating its unique artistic charm and cross-time cultural resonance.
Wang Tao's elaboration was vividly exemplified in his works such as "Han Xiang Tu," "Qing Xiang Tu," and "Song Yun Tu." These three pieces received high praise during the forum and were respectively collected by Vitaly Mankevich, the Chairman of the Russian-Asian Industrialists and Entrepreneurs Union, Taliya Minullina, the Director of the Investment Development Agency of the Republic of Tatarstan, and Sergei Evgenyevich Kolomytsev, the Chairman of the Decorative Applied Arts and Artists' Creative Union. This not only further demonstrated the international influence and unique charm of Chinese culture but also built a solid bridge for exchanges and mutual learning in the cultural and artistic fields between China and Russia, promoting deep understanding and common prosperity of both cultures.
At the closing ceremony of the forum, Wang Tao, as the Ambassador for Overseas Cultural Dissemination of Chengwu County, presented the cultural creative product "The Essence of Chengwu County's Stone Inscriptions" to foreign guests, including Yekaterina, the Minister of Youth Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, Russia. It is understood that "The Essence of Chengwu County's Stone Inscriptions," developed by the Chengwu County Museum, encapsulates the long history and cultural essence of Chengwu County. The exquisite art of its stone inscriptions and profound cultural connotations have won high praise from foreign friends, not only serving as a testament to friendship but also sparking a keen interest in Chinese stone inscription art. Subsequently, through the screening of promotional videos such as "Water Rhyme New Town,Bole’s Hometown" and "Water Rhyme New Town in the Eyes of Foreigners," Chengwu County, with its unique "Bole" culture, vibrant modern development, and open and inclusive international stance, deeply captivated every foreign guest present. They all expressed their anticipation for personally experiencing the unique charm of Chengwu County in the future, exploring new paths for cooperative development together, and working hand in hand to create an even better future.
