In Laiwu District, Jinan City, Thai students experience the folk customs of the Dragon Boat Festival in an immersive way

　　为促进中外文化交流，让留学生深入了解中国传统节日文化，端午节来临之际，莱芜区组织莱芜职业技术学院泰国留学生开展了一场别开生面的包粽子体验活动。

　　活动现场，老师们首先向留学生们介绍了端午节的起源、习俗以及粽子的文化寓意。随后，现场演示了粽叶的折叠、糯米的填充以及粽子的捆扎技巧。在老师的指导下，留学生们包得有模有样。他们表示：“这是第一次尝试自己动手包粽子，体验很有趣，感受到犹如家庭亲情的温暖。”

　　此次活动旨在通过沉浸式体验增进留学生对中国文化的认知，不仅让泰国留学生感受到了端午节的浓厚氛围，也进一步推动了中华优秀传统文化的传播，增进了中泰两国青年之间的友谊。

　　To promote cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries and enable international students to have a deeper understanding of traditional Chinese festival culture, on the occasion of the Dragon Boat Festival, Laiwu District organized a unique experience activity of making zongzi for Thai international students at Laiwu Polytechnic.

　　At the event site, the teachers first introduced to the international students the origin, customs of the Dragon Boat Festival and the cultural implications of zongzi. Subsequently, the folding of bamboo leaves, the filling of glutinous rice and the tying techniques of zongzi were demonstrated on the spot. Under the guidance of the teacher, the international students made their bags very neatly. They said, "This is the first time I've tried making zongzi by myself. The experience was very interesting and I felt the warmth of family affection."

　　This event aims to enhance international students' understanding of Chinese culture through immersive experiences. It not only allowed Thai students to feel the strong atmosphere of the Dragon Boat Festival but also further promoted the dissemination of excellent traditional Chinese culture and strengthened the friendship between the youth of China and Thailand.
