Golden Ears of Wheat Sway in the Fields,Playing the Melody of a Bountiful Harvest

　　In midsummer, 400,000 mu of wheat in Yutai County, Jining City, Shandong Province, entered the harvest season. While ensuring that every grain of summer grain is safely stored, Yutai County has been actively promoting the baling and removal of wheat straw from the fields and its comprehensive utilization, thus forging a new path that benefits both ecological and economic interests.

　　On June 5th, at the wheat harvesting site of Shandong Gongfa Group in Huji Village, Guting Street, four large combine harvesters were shuttling back and forth. Golden wheat ears were sucked into the machines, and the process of harvesting, threshing and loading was completed in one go. Not far away, a baler quickly gathered the scattered straw, and a baling machine then compressed and tied it up. Neatly arranged bales of straw were left in the fields, and the transport vehicles promptly removed them. The entire process was efficient and orderly, achieving the rapid removal of wheat straw from the fields.

　　To ensure the smooth removal of wheat straw from the fields, Yutai County's various towns and streets have signed off-field operation contracts with 12 storage and collection enterprises. A total of 31 straw collection and storage points have been set up across the county. It is estimated that about 450,000 bales of wheat straw, or approximately 120,000 tons, will be collected this year. Meanwhile, on the "battlefield" of summer harvest, the agricultural department of Yutai County has established three emergency service teams for agricultural machinery operations. They have been working in the fields, providing one-stop services such as mechanical maintenance, spare parts supply, and safety production to the farmers, ensuring that any mechanical problems are resolved immediately.

　　From the golden wheat waves to the neatly arranged bales of straw, from the busy harvesting scene to the orderly utilization of straw, Yutai County has written a splendid answer sheet for the summer harvest with its practical actions. While ensuring food security, it has also been exploring new ways to comprehensively utilize straw, thus safeguarding the green mountains and clear waters while opening up new channels for farmers' income growth.
