On June 5th, Shandong Minsheng Group, as a representative of Shandong Province's key enterprises in Nigeria, attended the "China (Shandong) - Nigeria Economic and Trade Cooperation Matchmaking Conference" held in Lagos. Cai Lixin, General Manager of Shandong Minsheng Group in Nigeria, attended the meeting on behalf of the group. Nearly 200 representatives from 125 companies attended this conference.
Shandong Province is a major economic province in China, with a long history of economic and trade cooperation with Lagos. As members of a community with a shared future, China and Nepal will further enhance their pragmatic cooperation in the field of economy and trade in the future. The Consulate General in Lagos will continue to provide support and services for communication and coordination between enterprises from both sides.
In February 2025, Shandong Minsheng Group and Bauchi Prefecture Government jointly invested in the establishment of "Bauchi Mingsheng Nigeria Co., Ltd.", which marks the further deepening of local cooperation between China and Nigeria under the framework of the "the Belt and Road", and helps Nigeria achieve efficient transformation of resources. Zhang Qingwei highly praised Minsheng Group's deep cultivation in the African market and emphasized that Shandong Province will continue to optimize policy services, support enterprises to deepen cooperation with Africa, and create more demonstration projects.
In the future, Shandong Minsheng Group will actively respond to the "the Belt and Road" initiative and the outcomes of the Forum on China Africa Cooperation. Taking Nigeria as a strategic pivot, the group plans to expand cooperation in agricultural technology, green mining development, and all aspects of people's livelihood. The group will leverage its own advantages to strengthen cooperation and exchanges with relevant departments in Nigeria, and promote mutual benefit and win-win cooperation in agriculture, mining and other fields. At the same time, the group will also explore the coordinated development of livelihood areas such as healthcare and education, and is committed to contributing "livelihood solutions" to the construction of a high-level China Africa community with a shared future.
