International Friends Visit Gaoqing, Bringing Multicultural Exchanges to Life

　　Recently, a group of international friends from Vietnam and Mongolia walked into the campus of Gaoqing County to carry out an activity of cultural exchange and mutual learning, adding a rich international flavor to the campus.

　　At the event site, the international friends gave vivid sharing around the local customs, food culture, architectural features and other aspects of their own countries. Taking “Mongolian yurt” as the theme, the Mongolian friend, with the help of elaborately made courseware, gave a detailed explanation to Chinese students, covering aspects from the historical origin and architectural structural features of Mongolian yurts to the connotation of nomadic culture they carry. The Vietnamese friend also shared contents such as Vietnam's characteristic cuisines and traditional costumes. From the unique flavor of Vietnamese rice noodles to the elegant charm of the áo dài, he/she took the students on a “virtual tour” of Vietnam.

　　After the event, Zulaagerel, a friend from Mongolia, said, “I'm very happy to come to the campus of Gaoqing County and communicate with the students. I hope that by sharing Mongolian culture, I can make everyone understand Mongolia better and know that our Mongolian yurts are not just buildings, but also the epitome of nomadic life. At the same time, I have also learned a lot of Chinese stories from the students, such as the local folk customs and history of Gaoqing. These exchanges can make the bridge of cultural exchange between the two countries more solid, and I hope there will be more opportunities for such interactions in the future.”
