BoShan：Students from China and Abroad Gather in Boshan, Forging Friendship on the Sports Field

　　Recently, the Boshan sports ground was buzzing with excitement as a friendship sports exchange event themed "Building Friendships Through Sports, Promoting Cultural Exchange" was held here. Fifteen international students from countries including Pakistan and Bangladesh, studying at universities in Shandong, joined over 30 student representatives from the host institution for the activity. Amid a relaxed and cheerful atmosphere, they deepened mutual understanding and built new friendships.

　　At the start of the event, local student representatives waited at the entrance of the sports ground to welcome the international students. Li Yang offered a bottle of water, saying, “Welcome to Boshan! You must be tired from the journey—please have some water and take a rest!” He also enthusiastically introduced the campus. Neeha smiled and remarked, “You’ve been taking such good care of us—it’s really heartwarming.” During the break, Boshan students demonstrated traditional folk activities such as rhythmic jump rope. Ahmed expressed interest but worried about his coordination. Li Yang handed him a jump rope, teaching him the "single-foot tap jump" while calling out the rhythm. Although Ahmed stumbled at first, with Li Yang’s encouragement, he soon managed five or six consecutive jumps. Excited, he said, “I’ll practice every day—next time I want to try the fancy jumps together!”

　　As the event drew to a close that evening, the students exchanged souvenirs and contact information. Ahmed told Li Yang, “Today’s event was truly meaningful. I had a fantastic time and made so many new friends. I’ll treasure the gift and share this experience with others. Thank you for the thoughtful arrangements and warm hospitality.” Li Yang replied, “We’re equally delighted to have met you. This is a testament to our friendship. You’re always welcome in Boshan, and we look forward to more exchanges in the future.”
