Mudan District of Heze City launched an online exchange activity called “Peony Classroom”

　　On September 25, Mudan District of Heze City and Belarusian State University of Economics held a "Peony Classroom" cultural exchange event through an online virtual meeting. Bridging geographical divides, participants learned about peony culture and shared its cultural charm, establishing a new bridge for cultural exchanges between China and Belarus.

　　At the event, Pang Zhiyong, Deputy Secretary-General of the China Peony and Peach Blossom Society and director of the Peony Provincial Agricultural High-tech Zone, delivered a detailed presentation to faculty and students from Belarusian State University of Economics through meticulously prepared PPT slides. He introduced the historical culture, species characteristics, and current development status of peonies in Heze. The content covered the origin of the "King of Flowers" title, artistic representations in poetry and painting, as well as Heze's unique status as the "Capital of Chinese Peonies". 　　After the online event concluded, international students from Gaozhuang Town, Mudan District, Heze City led overseas students in a variety of offline activities. Through demonstrations of peony paper-cutting, peony detailed brushwork paintings, and peony ink paintings, foreign friends were able to experience up close the profound depth of China's traditional culture, further sparking their strong interest in it.
