The bright moon conveys yearning, and badminton passes on friendship. As the Mid-Autumn Festival approaches, Laiwu Vocational and Technical College held a badminton friendship exchange event titled "Feather and Moon Shining Together, Affection Filling the Mid-Autumn Festival" for teachers and students. Thai international students and teachers and students who stayed on campus gathered together to talk about reunion and share the warmth of the festival.
At the "Mid-Autumn Festival Filled with Affection" symposium for teachers and students staying on campus, Thai international students and representatives of the teachers and students who stayed on campus sat together. They not only shared the customs, local specialties and beautiful scenery of their hometowns, but also tasted mooncakes and fruits together, and presented talent shows. This cross-cultural exchange event enabled the teachers and students present to feel that despite their diverse cultural backgrounds, the emotional core of "reunion" remains consistent across different cultures, conveying a strong sense of festival warmth and campus care.
Wang Xiaowen, a Thai student at Laiwu Vocational and Technical College, said, "It was my first time to eat mooncakes and chat with Chinese teachers and classmates. I felt particularly warm and happy, just like being with my family. I felt the warmth of this big family of the school."
At the symposium, Xu Yunguo, the Party Secretary and President of Laiwu Vocational and Technical College, had a cordial conversation and in-depth interaction with the teachers and students. He extended festival greetings to all the teachers and students, hoping that the international students would cherish the precious opportunity to study in China, strive to learn professional knowledge and Chinese culture, and become envoys of cultural exchange between China and foreign countries. It is hoped that students of all ethnic groups will embrace each other closely like pomegranate seeds, carry forward the fine traditional Chinese culture and tell good Chinese stories.
At the subsequent badminton friendly match, students and students who stayed on campus and Thai students formed teams to compete. The competition was divided into two stages: the "Five-Feathered Wheel Match" team event and the arbitrary pairing event. Whether it was the seamless cooperation between Chinese students and Thai students or the ingenious passing between teachers and students, all demonstrated extremely strong team cohesion.
I had a great time playing badminton with my teachers and classmates today. Winning or losing is not important. What matters is that we all get together and have a happy and warm Mid-Autumn Festival. Jiang Zhichen, a Thai student at Laiwu Vocational and Technical College, said.
