　　In the golden days of autumn, farmers across Shandong province are welcoming this year's bumper harvest.

　　Farmers in Liudu town of Xintai, a county-level city under Tai'an, are harvesting hawthorn fruit this week. The town has more than 1,530 hectares growing hawthorn, which produces 10 million kilograms of fruit and provides a good way to increase farmers' incomes, according to the local government.

　　In Buliu town of Rongcheng, a county-level city of Weihai, farmers are harvesting sweet potatoes. The town has established a cooperative to develop the sweet potato sector, ranging from cultivating seedlings, planting, processing and marketing. This development route has created jobs for local farmers and expanded the market for the local agricultural products. It has increased income for both local governments and farmers.
