Dalongtan Golden Snub-nosed Monkey Research Base is located in Central China's Shennongjia National Nature Reserve, Hubei province. Established in 2006, this base serves as one of the few multi-functional platforms in China that integrates golden monkeys conservation, research, and nature education.
The monkeys, once facing low reproductive rates and survival challenges, now thrive with a stable population of 1,618 across 11 groups in Shennongjia, thanks to strengthened conservation efforts.

Led by a vibrant male monkey, the community displayed a structured family dynamic, engaging in social behaviors like tree-climbing and playful interactions.
The monkeys joyfully gathered to feast when caretakers called out, showcasing their intimate interactions with humans.
