Diplomatic Envoys’ cultural, rural tour of Confucius’ birthplace

　　The 2022 China (Qufu) International Confucius Cultural Festival and 8th Nishan Forum on World Civilizations are ongoing to commemorate the 2573rd anniversary of the birth of the ancient Chinese sage Confucius. On the afternoon of Sept. 27, diplomatic envoys and foreign journalists visited Luyuan New Villiage in Qufu of Jining City to experience the local culture.

　　Luyuan New Village, with a history of one thousand years, is located in the birthplace of Confucius—Nishan Town of Qufu County-level City in Shandong province. It’s known as the birthplace of sage Confucius and cradle of Confucianism.

　　The expats visited Luyuan Memory Village Museum, Lecture Hall on Practice of Civilization in New Era, Traditional Classics Area, the Cultural Hall, and Crafts Bazzar, etc.

　　They experienced three-dimensional string art, watched the traditional Chinese wedding ceremony and learned archery in the six arts in the village, having a better understanding of the Confucian cultural connotation.
